ABOUT MOTION AI TRAINING
We help people see what is possible, build something useful, and develop the judgment to use it well.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE. PRACTICAL GUIDANCE.
Nearly 30 years in company financials, with experience across mergers and acquisitions, operations, technology, and business reporting.
James connects the questions business owners ask with the work needed to answer them: clean data, Microsoft Fabric foundations, Power BI models, and repeatable processes. Through Motion AI Systems, the separate company he co-owns, he works on enterprise data foundations and implementation.
At Motion AI Training, he brings that experience into the room. You learn to build with your own tools, understand what the result means, and check whether it is good enough to use.

AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE 2026 · Las Vegas
Two sessions focused on building data foundations CFOs can trust and making numbers persuasive through a clear business story.
WHERE THE MISSION STARTED
In acquisition work, uncertainty about the numbers had consequences at the negotiating table.
James saw what happened when owners could not clearly explain their company's performance. Gaps in the data gave buyers more room to question value and negotiate the price.
He wanted more owners to understand their own businesses before someone else interpreted the numbers for them. That led him deeper into data foundations, analytics, and teaching people how to use their information.
Motion AI Training carries that purpose forward. Give people the tools and understanding to improve their work, make informed decisions, and keep ownership of what they build.
WHY SMALL BUSINESS. WHY NOW.
Large companies have long had developers, automation teams, and budgets for custom software. AI is putting more of those capabilities within reach of smaller businesses.
Draft campaigns, prepare proposals, and organize follow-up around the way your business actually serves customers.
Prototype an internal tool, automate a recurring task, or turn a manual handoff into a process your team can repeat.
Explore inventory patterns, organize operating information, and build useful reports from data you are authorized to use.
Access is the starting point. The advantage comes from choosing worthwhile work, training your people, and checking what changes.
WHY WE TEACH HANDS-ON
A demonstration creates interest. Working on your own task turns that interest into ideas you can act on.
In training sessions, James sees the conversation change as people discover what their tools can do. They begin connecting the possibilities to their own customers, reports, recurring tasks, and unfinished projects.
That is the energy we build on. You use the tool. You make the choices. We guide the process and help you work through the questions.
Every session includes Check: trace the source, recalculate important numbers, challenge assumptions, and decide where human review belongs. Confidence comes from understanding the result.
